I just got an iMac and installed Firefox. I'm a longtime PC user of the browser and wanted to know if it's possible to export/copy my bookmarks from the PC version to the Mac? What would I need to do?

Just export them from FF on the PC (it's just an HTML file) and move the file to the Mac and import the file into FF or Safari.

there's a file in your C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\randomcharacters\bookmarks.html

copy that file to your mac in your ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/randomcharacters/

If you are intending to work on both Mac and PC, try Foxmarks plugin in both machines. That way you can sync. your bookmarks fairly easily.

I prefer Google Browser Sync, as it keeps the entire browser in sync, rather than just the bookmarks, including cookies and saved passwords. all you need is a google account.
