using 2011 MBA 13, currently have 256GB SSD installed.

Would it be possible to upgrade it to 512GB?

I need more space for Windows 7.

Voiding my warranty is not an issue, since I plan on spray-painting my MBA soon.

In short, yes. It is the only user-upgradable part in the notebook. OWC is the only reliable vendor selling upgrades at this point, and be prepared for sticker shock. The faster 6GB/s drives are limited to 256GB at this point, if I am not mistaken, but their slower 3GB/s drives go to 512GB.

why not an external drive.
if you fill a 512 gb internal drive and then need to back up - which i s/be standard procedure anyway - you're still going to need an external.
which'd be a darn sight cheaper than $1100 + for an internal 512 gb

be happy with 256 gb and offload the extras.

spray paint your Air - what on earth for
