I just got a Nehalem mac pro (8 core, 32gb mem, 4x1.5TB HD, 2xsuperdrive, RAID card, 4870).

I made the 4x1.5TB drives into 1 large RAID set.

I would like to install Windows (Vista or XP) as well, using Boot Camp, and VMWare.

I think Windows won't be able to support the RAID card and RAID set. So, it looks like I need another HD somewhere to install it on.

I was hoping to get some kind of PCIe SSD. Anyone know one in the 3 figure range?

The next option is to add an internal SATA card and a 2.5" notebook drive. Anyone spot anything that can mount a notebook drive in an PCIe slot? Ideally it would include the additional SATA interface as well.

If I can find a fast internal SSD drive, I would like to install the Mac OS on this drive as well (along with Windows), and leave the RAID set purely for work data.

I guess the last option is to install an eSATA adapter and attach an external HD to mount Windows. Would Windows even boot off of eSATA drives?
