Possible to install new (alum)Macbook's copy of OSX on old Macbook?

I have a white rev1 Macbook and just ordered a 2.4ghz aluminum Macbook. Can I install OS X 10.5 on my old white macbook using the disc which comes with my new laptop? Or do I need to buy a separate copy of OS X (which would seem to be a bit uncool)?

Separate copy. The disks are model specific.

Correct, a retail disks has ALL of the drivers.

exactly... to prevent precisely what you wanted to do... so you'll pay for software...
