This is probably a somewhat long shot but what the heck, it never hurts to ask.
I've got an iMac 12,1 running High Sierra with a Quadro K2000M installed (not BIOS updated).
I tried to install Windows via bootcamp today but it failed b/c (since no updated BIOS on video card) I have no display until OSX initializes (which means when the system reboots to go into Windows installer, I have no display). Since I don't wish to go through the somewhat risky process of flashing the BIOS on the card, my question is is doing the BIOS flash strictly necessary to get Windows up and running on this system?
I have tried connecting an external display via Thunderbolt (mini dp to dp adapter) but that shows no display, as well; only once I'm back in OSX does the display pick up. The only way I was able to get my system to boot back into OSX after the failed Windows install attempt was to clear my PRAM. Otherwise I was stuck at a blank screen.
Any help here is appreciated, I'd love to get Windows up and running on this system but it's not strictly necessary. TIA!
