Possible to launch Skype in menubar only and not dock?

An easier solution would be Dockless.
However, there is one major caveat with both of these solutions (unavoidably): The program's menubar will not be visible. Thus, you will be able to use any controls available directly from the applications window, and the menu extra that Skype places in the menubar, but the Skype, File, Edit, etc menus will not appear while working with the application. That may or may not be an issue for Skype (depends on how much control you have from the menu extra), but it certainly has been an issue for several applications I've tried to do this with.
