Basically guys and gals... i recently decided to purchase a ssd for my macbook pro.... up untill this time i had been using a 1tb samsung spinpoint.... the older one which was 12mm high... I decided to get a optibay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300577488451#ht_2226wt_1396

only to find out that the optibay only takes 9mm drives.....and because my 1tb drive is 12 mm it wont fit in this optibay.... so i would have to put the ssd in the optibay and keep the 12mm drive in the hard drives primary location.....

my question is... is it possible to boot off of the ssd in my optibay or should i start trying to sale the 12mm hd and look for another one?????

thanks guys!

Go to System Preferences, and choose "startup disk"
from there, you can choose which volume is the default startup disk.

startup holding down "option" to see which volumes are available at any given boot.
