I love using my Apple Remote to control my MacBook Pro from across the room, but my wife, who has a MacBook, isn't too fond of it when I randomly turn her volume up and down and activate Front Row on her laptop!

Is there any way to mate an Apple Remote so that it only works with one computer? Or, I assume it would be better to limit a computer to receiving input from only one remote.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I should've waited to post - I just figured it out.

FYI, to pair your Apple Remote:

Go to: System Preferences -> Security -> General Tab

Click on the "Pair..." button at the bottom

Follow the directions - hold down the menu and "next" (fast forward/next track) buttons on your Apple Remote until the screen indicates you've successfully paired the remote.

Voila! Peace returns to the home!
