possible to "overclock" monitor refresh rate on OSX?

On windows using Nvidia drivers (as downloaded from Nvidia.com), I am able to do "overclock" the refresh rate of my Philips monitor from 60Hz to at least 70Hz. The monitor official supports only up to 60Hz but by using "custom resolution" in the Nvidia control panel, I am able to overclock this to 70Hz.

Is such a thing possible under OSX? If yes, how?
