Basically, I have turned the opacity of Adium to 0%, and really like the way it sits when on my desktop... is there any way to stick it there, so that if I hit my 'show desktop' exposé shortcut Adium won't fly away?

Convoluted explanation, but I think you get what I mean...

It used to have an option in the preferences to do exactly that.

I miss that feature a lot but it's been gone since ~version 1.0. Adium devs explained that it was now impossible to pin Adium to the desktop because of the way "Spaces" (Leopard feature) works and because of how Adium is written.

It's a shame because I used that feature all the time.

old thread I know but it came up when I googled the same question.

Use Afloat it works great and it works for more than just adium.

As a side note (I know, I'm pulling this thread up again :p) -- you'll have to restart Adium once you install afloat. Then go to "Window" in the menu, "adjust effects" and the option is in there to pin it down.
