Hello,

I am thinking of buying an iPad2. This will be usefull for me as I have invested money in buying some training videos that are all in flash swf. So using the iPad2 while on the go could be usefull to watch these.

However, I am not sure if the iPad2 can play the flash swf. Someone told me at work that flash is not supported by Apple.

Is this possible to play *.swf?

Many thanks for any advice,

Flash is not supported. Skyfire browser may play flash videos. (It converts them into a format the ipad can play) But it doesnt work on every website.

I am assuming you will copy or stream the videos?

Just use any free video converter and you should be good to go.

There are some apps that will play them, with varying success. You can also use a program like handbrake to convert them before putting them on your iPad. If you search the forum you will find many threads on this.

I use iSwifter and Puffin browsers. Works well enough. I would like one of those browsers to support local file storage so I can host our work interactive exhibits locally.
