possible to plug your MBP into your tv for video playback?

I was curious (i'm new to mac) as to if it's possible to plug your MBP into some sort of cable (rca a/v cable) and plug the rca into your tv for video playback (like you can with the ipod video)....

if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be amazing...

Check the Apple Store site for a DVI to Video Adapter. Should cost about $20.
