After making the switch about a year ago and getting an iMac, I'm looking to add to the family and pick up an iBook this week.

My question is, can I transfer stuff like my music, settings, applications and stuff over to the new iBook, or will it be a case of having to start from scratch?

Thanks!

I think all new Macs come with this app (don’t remember the name), that let’s you connect both your new and your old Mac via FireWire to copy all your settings to your new Mac. But even without such an app, you can network both Macs to copy the necessary settings
