I haven't jailbroken for years so I don't know the situation well.

I basically want to unlock my iPhone 4 locked to T-Mobile UK, without paying them the £15.32 unlocking fee. Is there currently a jailbreak/other working method of unlocking it?

Don't know if this helps, but Modem Firmware is 04.11.08

Thanks!

In terms of iPhone 4 baseband, the only "conventional" jailbreak unlock, ultrasn0w, only unlocks version 01.59.00. So 04.11.08 doesn't cut it.

Gevey unlocks only work with 04.10.01 as far as I know, so upgrading to iOS5 may had doomed you for now.

I'd suggest just paying the fee. :D

Many of us would kill to be able to get an official unlock for that price. Trust me, the convenience is well worth it (and a Gevey SIM would cost you more anyway)

Meh, guess I should pay it for convenience sake, but actually gevey sims are only about £4 on eBay. Cam't be bothered with the fuss of them though.
