i found this on craigslist and i was wondering if it really is possible to unlock an iphone through itunes.

check it out----(http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/ele/791010585.html)

it states in the last picture that the iphone was succesfully unlocked through itunes.

is this legit?

and i also know that it is possible to unlock the iphone through 3rd party software....but im talking about unlocking the phone through (((((itunes)))))

you use iTunes to restore your iPhone using the custom settings file created by an unlocking/jailbreaking program

It's something else that is shown on that craigslist page.

Anyhow, that's a false claim about unlocking first gen iPhone, as it is very possible to do so.
