Possible trojan on my MacBook

Hello everyone,

I realize this topic have been done to death, but I got to ask: How easy is it to get infected with a virus or a trojan on OS X?

My wife's Facebook account got hacked this morning and other than changing her password, which she was successful in doing, what else can she do? She swears up and down that she did nothing out of the ordinary and I believe her. Is it possible that her account got hacked through tracking cookie or something.

I really don't want to install an AV scanner because that was the main reason for getting a MacBook... no viruses!!!

Any help or advise on what to do would be appreciated.

Sounds like a Facebook problem, not a OS X problem.


Considering the insecurity at Facebook, I'm not surprised.

If someone hacked your computer, wouldn't they do something more interesting than hack her facebook? Like your bank or cc?
