Before I updated to 3.0 on my 16gb Iphone 3g, I was running 2.2.1 and my Iphone wifi connection was working awesome. We have wireless points in the facility I work in and no matter where I go, I could connect to them.

After the 3.0 update, my Iphone is not as efficient at connecting to these wireless points. I have to be a lot closer to the wireless points for them to connect to them. One example is my office. Before, I could connect to the wireless point without any issue all the time. After the update, I can still connect, but I have to walk closer to the wireless point before it automatically connects.

If I go into the Wifi section, it will try to find the wireless point but it won't connect. Meanwhile there are laptops using the same wireless connection right next to me. If I walk closer to the wireless point, the Iphone will pick it up and go.

I am wondering if there is some kind of signal issue or something or maybe some kind of threshold was put in so weaker signals under 2 bars wouldn't be grabbed. Just a thought.
