I know it's already here, but the first is a cool (if low quality) shot of Big Ben with a couple of protesters under the face. It was taken in March 2004 during some anti-Bush protest in London (mostly Trafalgar Square). It was not a good day to be American in London - felt just a little nervous...
The second is Blarney Castle in Ireland, the third a cross erected in honor of Pope John Paul II's visit to Dublin in '79, and the last the tourist stop in a town in Wales with (I believe) the world's longest place name.

A yes for all of those
I couldn't believe how thick and spongy the grass was at the tenting/hostle area by Ayres, was my best sleep that two weeks. And climbing the rock was pretty cool (actually it got up to 47ºC that day, but we started early when it was still in the 30s so it wasn't shut down yet). So many cool things out there. So glad I went

They also shut down the climb after we did it, so I felt fortunate! I loved the Outback, I'd definitely go again - if only there weren't so many other cool places to see first...

I have been twice...last visit was 1999...it truly is a phenomenal place that provides quite an insight into how life may have been in 1400-1600. I believe it is a UN World Heritage site. Your photo broght bac some fantastic memories. Thanks!

Seen here are the Louvre, the Concorde: a great piece in the Louvre, the Eiffel at night (looks amazing when it's all sparkling but this is from about two miles away) and the tower itself (again).

Heres my mate hugging a cliff-top rock overlooking Saddleworth. I think you can see Pots n Pans in there. which is a landmark. I think Dovestones itself is a landmark too? *dovestones being the reservoir this is all around*
edit: no. it isn't in the shot. does landSCAPE count?

If you liked Paris, you would absolutely love Budapest. They call it the Paris of Eastern Europe, and in my opinion it is far more beautiful and scenic. Much less touristy and commericalized, too (everyone always seems to go to Paris
), and definitely a favorite of mine. Don't get me wrong, Paris is nice as well, just not as nice. I'll post some of my pictures of it when I get home from work - I never get tired of looking through them.

oooh I love eastern Europe a little. My grandfather (or Dziadek as he likes to be called) is Polish and I'm a regular visitor to Poland, Czech Republic etc. The places I go are just so quant, my family have a bunch of farms so they're slap bang in the middle of nowhere. its beautiful. just beautiful. the cities are stunning, those little cafés and hidden away gems. aw man now I wanna fly over again

My dad lived in Budapest for a while for business. He said he loved it and they have indeed got some amazing shots of the place. It doesn't quite have the allure of Paris in terms of places to be a tourist, nor a couple at Christmas
but there's no denying it should be on the list of places to visit. I haven't really gone near eastern Europe. I may aim to end up there when I do a world trip in a few years.
Edit: jeshephard - those are some really cool US shots mate. Is that a presidential heli going past the monument?
