I couldn't find any existing thread about Flash projects using a Mac so here goes...
If anyone has any Flash projects they want to share and discuss along with any advice maybe this is as good a place as any.
So here I've got Flash CS4 that came with a CS4 bundle and I've never used it. Flash animations look cool and fun... how hard could it be?
Figuring that I may need to make some animated banners for an upcoming batch of websites, I went through the tutorial, made the bouncing ball thing and hit a creativity block....
What to do next?
So I'm staring at the computer and its three attendant Guardian Beanie Babies and came up with the following little project:
Introduce my fearsome predators to the world in a Flash Animation!
There's:
ASHBURY The Incredible Stoner Beanie Baby from San Francisco.
(He'll bob and weave and zig and zag till he gets ya)
ISIS The Demure White Kitten that's a Lioness at heart.
(You won't even see her coming until it's too late)
HEATHER HOODIE From the Post Office, Heather's Hoodie bears the L-O-V-E stamp and she LOVES to tear anyone that might get any funny ideas about touching a Mac Pro into teenie-tiny pieces.
(Including me.... OW!)
From their perch on top, they guard Mac Pro day and night against any and all.
Cleaning up the mounds of broken, twisted bones that accumulate weekly is an unfortunate side effect.
So anyhow, Flash CS4 isn't exactly the most intuitive program out there but I managed this simple little project.
I ended up using tons of layers to achieve the effect I wanted. There's gotta be a better way to lay out the project but the end result is what I wanted.
Does anyone care to critique? Good, Bad, Just Awful? Afraid of Beanie Babies?

PS. Next on the agenda will be a attention getter for a commercial site. I suspect that it might be a bit simpler to construct.
