First in line over here on the east coast in NC!

I am glad I pre ordered. I will be hunting untill noon and my ups driver almost always gets here around 2-3pm . But keep us updated with pics of the lines to see what we are missing.:rolleyes:
 
i dont think it should be that bad concidering theres 3 phone companys and iphones for all 3, but yea ill be in line in my city soon too : ( wish you all luck
 
I just drove by my local AT&T store which is on my way home from work. They have a small line of about 30 people.

The phone I ordered via AT&T online arrived this morning via FedEX at just before 10am. It was for my wife, so I'm eager to hear what she thinks of it. Like myself she has had every iPhone.

I passed only because it's still glass and still has the tiny display.

I really like the 4.3" display I had on last years Droid X, and the new SGS II I have now. It's a man's phone.

Wow, 30 people already? Well maybe that's not a lot. I have no idea how many they keep in the store.

Do you live in a city or suburban area?
 
Hey another North Carolinian! Enjoy waiting in our awesome humidity (I live on the coast). I'll be waiting for the UPS guy tomorrow.
 
I never understood why people liked standing in line haha pre-ordering is so much easier. Plus last year I just waited like 2 days and then just walked right in and waited in line for maybe like 20 minutes.

yeah well, if UPS gets there at 11am while you're still out hunting, don't go all Cheney on us ok???
 
Still only 1 other guy and myself in line right now... Lol, people on the east coast are not true Apple fans. I can't wait to get back to the west coast!!!

I'd probably do the same if I had the time. :p Seriously, though, I have wondered about the logistics of waiting in line overnight, especially in the city, for a launch like this. Does everyone just sleep on a blanket or something and no one disturbs them? Do they take turns going to the bathroom and grabbing grub for everyone?

Bathroom and such is my biggest worry for tonight. The poll I put up convinced me that I should be there at like 3 rather than 4:30 or 5. I'm bringing my gf, so I'll be able to leave the line. But where the hell am I gonna find a bathroom? lol
 
I walked into the Apple store at noon and bought the 3GS without any sort of line. Hoping for the same tomorrow at the local AT&T store. :D

Hoping the manager moves up my upgrade date, too. If not, whatever.
