Inspired by the new Apple commercial showcasing it...

Literally my first portrait on the iPhone 8 plus from this afternoon.

These photos look great! It really is game over for other phones in terms of mobile photography, no wonder reviews were high praises for the cam on the 8+... i own a 7+ and if not for the X i would have jumped on the 8+ already... 25more days before preorders, sorry for the OT

The dark back ground and black and white options still need work but here is an awesome shot with studio light

The picture of your Les Paul in black and white is awesome. Nice and tasteful.

Awe, but is it a Les Paul an Epiphone, a Guild, or an Ibanez? I am always skeptical when you can't see the headstock. Either way nice photo.

It does. Zoom in on the area in between her arms and compare the focus to the area outside her arms, there’s an blur/difference. It’s a bit hard to see on the compressed version uploaded on Macrumors though

I noticed that straight away. A really lovely shot though. I’m surprised how well it did with the hair in that photo.

What is the green dot?

Yes it does, apologies. When I looked at the picture first I was still half asleep. Now that I’m looking at it properly I can see it’s actually done really well. As pointed out before, the hair bit looks really good.

The green dot is a lens flare from the sun, it was done intentionally though
