I was at the Menlo Park Apple Store in Edison, NJ - got there around 5:45 only to witness a sea of 2 separate lines..each with about 300-400 people in them. Engadget actually posted a pic that I sent in.
Overall, it took about 5 hours. By the time I left, there were at least about 1,500 to 1,700 people waiting. Craziness!
