Post Pictures of Your MacBook Pro After Months/Years of Usage

I envy you guys with the late 2008 Macbook Pro and it still being in excellent condition.

I have a late 2008 Macbook Pro, got it a month after it was released & just two days ago my hinge broke completely. The LED screen begin to separate from the unibody screen back after a year and a half, everything went downhill from there. My hinge is now broken, and requires a wall to support the screen from standing upright. The hinge on the unibody weren't as stable as the macbooks before imo, even when new.

& in case you were wondering, no I did not drop it.
I barely brought it out with me, perhaps once a week, twice at most. Did move it about the house a lot though.

I have a keyboard cover, so keys are good, some scratches at the bottom.
Significant metal peeling on the right area next to the trackpack, due to my sweaty palms I think, but was fine with that. Hinge was utterly heartbreaking.

For a bunch of computer geeks, you guys sure take crappy pictures. It probably has something to do with living in man caves. Why is it so dark everywhere?

I'll post some sexy pictures of mine sometime today or tomorrow. Until then, I expect to see a little more effort from you guys!

I have had my MacBook Pro since April, it is in great condition except the track pad has a very slight grease stain on it, if that makes any sense...

It's amazing how with the unibody aluminum you just need to be a bit careful to keep your MBP in mint condition for very long.

With a crappy plastic PC, even being extra careful I always managed to screw something, most times in the most unlikely ways.

i've had a mac and a dell in Al and plastic, respectively, i've never had to be careful with one more than the other. both are in great condition. the statement doesn't make sense because its not like the PC cases can't take a hit and if i got a buck for every fanboy story reporting a unibody dent after getting a bump through a bag/case, i'd be Oprah rich.

Why didn't you take it in for repair? My hinge broke about a month into use and they replaced the entire display assembly no questions asked.

My macbook pro 13 inch,around 10 months old.
Mint condition,dropped it once from 5 feet,but not even a scratch,I'm so glad i got this machine

nice. i hear the macbook pro can be used to block IED shrapnel in afghanistan and people have sometimes refused the use of standard issue firearms because they just used the unibody mbp as a boomerang against the taliban - way superior.

It makes sense since it's my experience.

And computers are not meant to be dropped. I'm not talking about the MBP being more resistant to drops than any other computer, I don't know where you are getting that from.

I'm just saying that with usual wear and tear plastic computers (at least the ones I've used) the color inevitably start to washout where my hands lay. The same goes with the touchpad. And many more examples...

Bottom-line is: After a year, most plastic computers aesthetically start to show the age, not the case with MBP.

I have two minor dents and the lid release has rubbed off.. but overall my 2007 looks pretty good!

25 months old.
Look just like all the other macbook pros in the world so I won't bother posting pictures.
But the other night my mate had a few to many beers and knocked it off a 3 1/2 foot counter onto solid tiles while it was open.
Fortunately nothing broke and all that happened was an edge dent and the screen likes to move a little where that hinge is. I like to think it adds character =P
Anyway it shows how sturdy these machines are.

O and this machine leaves my house nearly every day being thrown around at uni and still working beautiful....touch wood
