I'm looking to films with a new DSLR with HD video (still deciding which) and I'm wondering formate wise which video editing software I should use.

Currently I'm running a MacPro 8Ghz total over 4-cores, and 9 GB of ram (DDR2 something).

My goal is to film at 24p or Higher-speeds for slow-mo shots (to be converted back to 24p).

Also I would like to put in FX like gunshots, bullet time, ghost etc into the film. I know how to green screen capture but again which software is best?

My goal is to pick the package which is easy to use, fast to process, and allows me to do advance features when needed.

I can spent money on the pro-software, but only on one package.
