You could smooth the edges of your avatar though, it's not quite circular.
 
I know what you mean, those two spots near the top? That's part of the metallic reflection around the rim and it looks odd at such a reduced-down size... but I'm too lazy to Photoshop it. ;)

Yes they did. The IIgs (different CPU but still slow) can go from 2.8MHz -> ~17-18MHz (w/third party).

I don't think people would OC the consoles though...
