Some of us think Flash, divx and anti-viral software stink, if that's the sort of advice you're seeking.

I see some problems there. These lines in particular concern me:
Code:
Launch Daemons:
	[failed]	com.rim.BBDaemon.plist
	[failed]	com.sophos.notification.plist

Launch Agents:
	[failed]	com.brother.LOGINserver.plist
	[failed]	com.divx.update.agent.plist
	[failed]	com.sophos.uiserver.plist

Internet Plug-ins::
	JavaAppletPlugin: Version: 14.8.0 - SDK 10.9 Outdated! Update
	Flash Player: Version: 12.0.0.24 - SDK 10.6 Outdated! Update
Though the plugin versions aren't the ones I'm used to seeing... are you perhaps using a beta Flash? That JavaAppletPlugin version I don't recognize either, but my best guess is that you're using Java 8. If both of those assumptions are correct then you can ignore my comments about the plugins.

Thanks for the points all has been changed now, and the check is looking fine and dandy. Although I have now encountered another problem with Kext errors and USB mounts.
