I've read some stories of sub-two hour battery life on these things. I'm used to 4 hours out of my iBook and anything less than 3 would be unacceptable.

Does the extra .25Ghz make a big difference to battery life I wonder?

Grateful for any stats.

I regularly get 3 hours plus from my 17" Al power book. It will probably be worse as the battery gets older; but that's to be expected.

Yeah, but Apple didn't take 25% off the 17" battery to save weight. (as they seem to have done with the 15")

I'd like to know how long a 15" lasts when doing stuff. Or watching a DVD say.

I'd have ordered one by now if it hadn't been for this significant change/worry.

My 15" Albook gets pretty good battery life. I think I get around 3.5 hours while using ichat/safari/itunes. I was also able to watch the entire Monty Python Meaning of Life DVD at another time. Seems fine to me, though I have been using it while plugged in a lot.
