Do you want "Summer 2006" beach pics or "July 2006" beach pics?

Most of my '05/'06 summer beach photos went kaput in a HDD failure, I'll post a few of the ones still left on Flickr (only 800x600 though). I got a new flashy digital camera today so tomorrow morning I'll go get some pictures of the inclement July beach weather.

This coming summer ( '06/'07 ) should be a ripper for beach photos now that I have a decent camera. Hopefully come August I'll have some good photos from my trip down to the snow (if there is snow - crap season so far although it's starting to feel like winter again).

Here are three I took sometime around January or February early in the morning. Glorious summer morning it was.

Heh, I've never been to one.

I cant swim, and I hate the sun.

I'm not picking on you here but it's just so strange to me to hear from someone who can't swim. You see, down here, a person that can't swim is as common as a person with two heads - we all just learnt to swim as kids, it was just what happened. Most of us started really early at the beach (80% of our population lives within a 2hr drive from the coast) or at pools, those who didn't would learn during primary (elementary to you guys) school whilst we learnt more technical stuff. I think every primary school has a swimming program here.

Not passing judgement but thank you for being my "oddity of the day."

To be honest, this is more of a 2006 spring beach picture. This was a tiny island. We had to take a boat to get there and there was nothing on the island. Completely remote.

people who can't swim are weird, i cant ever remember learning to swim, i just always have been able to.

i havent been to a beach since last summer, but i will next weekend, i'll post pics.

Mine is the same way. I think mine can swim she's just afraid.

Mine taught me how to swim, well, she taught me all the more technical "stroke refinement" stuff that makes me competitive in the pool to this day despite my total lack of fitness. I actually learnt to swim in Phoenix, AZ in our backyard pool.

I made a new thread for my own beach photos from today, you can see them all there.

Fishing in the Pacific yestaday, the wave look big, but this are tame, this area is near Half Moon Bay home of Maverick, but more important is Samon and Stripe bass fishing

Same here, I think that I have always been able to swim! Heck, sometimes my parents thought I was half fish because I was always in the water. :)

i doubt they are "exibitionist types" more people that just don't give a **** about what people think when they look at them and probably just want an even tan, + swimming naked rules.

Those are some excellent waves srf4real, where do you live at? I've been surfing in U.S. Westcoast and there were great waves (not enormous or anything), and everyone was so friendly, but I think your photos are taken in Australia, I'm probably going there next year :)
