It took about a week and a half, but its running like a champ now... I'm debating to BSEL mod the CPU to get it at 3GHz / 1333MHz FSB
Nice job. I've got the exact same XPS (But mine has ATI graphics), and I wish I could Hack it, but I'm too scared of ruining it.
Trust me it is so worth it...
it does have a few issues, cause of it being a ICH9r board but it still runs great
yup may aswell take it to 3ghz. nice performance increase, hope the CPU fan can handle it 😉

i think he mentioned that the networking doesnt work.
yeah, when i get some free time on my hands i will do the BSEL mod and do it, still need some info first, some one said it will fubar the memory timings, so i gotta double check on that. Yeah, suprisingly, all of my dells (minus this one) run OSX with little hacking, and yes dell ftl. also, the q6600 can handle being taken to 4ghz + on the right board with good cooling, its not a lightweight 😉

the xps was somewhere between 1200 and 1600 when it was purchased... the board is stock, networking via the intel nic doesnt work, hence the netgear card, info is on the original link
