Thanks! I've been into tubes most of my life. To me tubes sound better than solid state. Those are Ikea carpets on the walls. They were needed to deaden the wall resonances. They made a big improvement in the sound

I've seen this amp before on head-fi.org Very nice!! Here's my headphone setup

Also some floorstanding speakers but they're surrounded by mess at the moment.

awesome stuff, yeah im on the search for a good deal on KRK RP5s right now.
if something better comes along awesome, preferably front ported..

If you can afford it, go up to the RP8s. I have a set of them, and when for nearfield, the honestly go almost as deep as that giant subwoofer I posted above.

What format do you have your iPod songs encoded? How good is performance?

They're M-Audio BX5s. I need some bigger ones. Maybe some Yamaha HS80Ms.
