You might want to get your battery looked at by Apple. You should be getting at least three times battery life based on your usage.4 hrs and it's dead. I use the fast charger allot. 12.9 pro

What about the settings? If it is at 100% brightness the whole time, all heavy settings on, using accessories, I don't know if it isn't normal for that kind of usage. You might want to get your battery looked at by Apple. You should be getting at least three times battery life based on your usage.

My iPad mini 4's battery life is poopoo relatively speaking. I'm used to 10 hours on an iPad and I get like 6. I'm currently at 64% with usage at 2 hours and 49 minutes, taken off the charger almost 4½ hours ago.
It lasts me all day for what I use it for, but it's still disappointing.
My iPad Air 2 generally gets around 9 I'd say.
Exactly right I was about to post the same thing these times are meaningless unless we know the brightness.
Also look at the posted picks useage 7% usage Tops on Subway Surfer. Or 37% on Safari that's light use.
I don't have a pic but at 50 % Brightness and 60% YouTube and 40 ish % Safari mod to heavy use. I had 35 Hours Standy and 8.50 hour Useage with 25% Battery Remaining now that to me is Phenominal.
Jealous. I normally get around 6 hours SOT on my iPad mini 4.I typically get around 11 hours out of Mini 4 if I run it down to the single digits.

I mostly text, watch videos, and browse the web. I also have auto brightness on but since I mostly use it away from home (meaning outside a lot) the brightness is usually pretty high.I've done some things to optimize it. I use auto-brightness and for most of the environments that I use it in that keeps the screen at below 50%. I've also turned off background app refresh and most push notifications. And most of my usage is just web browsing, email, social media, viewing some pdfs, and some Youtube. Nothing terribly demanding in terms of power.

Though I'm not going to turn things off and have my experience suffer to get a little more time with it. I'd rather enjoy it to the fullest while I can.
Do push notifications really make that much of a difference? I didn't think they would.I agree. I only turn off features that I don't care for anyway. For example, I don't need push notifications to alert me whenever an email comes in. I just check my email when I want to know.
