I am looking for a tweak that will shut the iPad down sooner like my phones 1 minute instead of the iPads 2 minute minimum.
I jump on and off my iPad a lot and don't always hit the power button to shut off the screen so i am wasting battery life all the time for nothing.
If someone has a suggestion it would be most appreciated.

There is no way to shut down, or power off, your iPad 2 faster.
FYI, sleeping, or pressing the power button once, will not drain your battery in any way. Your iPad 2 is supposed to last a month while in sleep mode with the built-in battery.
I am speaking of auto lock timer I guess you did not understand....
iPhone has a 1 minute option
iPad minimum is 2 minutes before the screen powers down
I want a tweak so it is at least like the iPhone or even 30 seconds
Sorry if I misunderstood your post, but when you said "shut my iPad down", I thought you meant literally shutting your iPad down.
Anyways, I remember there was a tweak for this, but can't get it out of my head. Will tell you when I find it.

Besides the ones already mentioned, Backgrounder is also one of my favorites. I stream TV and Video a lot, and being able to go to another app without the vid stoping is great. Now I can still listen to audio while checking an email or message. True Mulitasking comes in handy sometimes.
Not to sound like a jerk but If you want it to goto lockscreen sooner than 2 minutes you can just click it. I don't see why that would be an issue.........
As i explained i just flat out forget sometimes because i am in a hurry and the fact my 4s has the option to be 1 minute i dont see why its such a big deal.

This is also why there are tweaks from Cydia to make an experience better like say pull to refresh, someone could say "well why dont you just hit the refresh button instead of pulling?".
I honestly do not think it is asking much quite frankly, especially after seeing some of the other crazy tweaks out there for the stupidest things

You can manually set different lock times. Here's a guide.

This is exactly what i was looking for so thank you very much.
edit: Could not get this to work as the only General.plist i can find had settings for the iphone but even when i edited that it made no difference and the changes never took hold.
The list i found actually has the 1 minute option but we know there is no 1 minute option in the settings on the iPad. So yeah its gotta be somewhere else
. So i guess there is more too it.
