In UPS page, it states "Rescheduled Delivery: 10/28/2008"??
What does that mean? When I ordered, Apple order status says delivery 21st-27th,.... but when i got my email from Apple about MBP shipped, it state Delivered by Oct 28, 2008???
I'm confused!! Apple rep assured me that it should be delivered by 24th, so I booked my hotel in Oregon (6 hr drive 1 way) for 24th. And the reservation is being paid for!
Anyone else in this situation??

God awful long wait
Mine update to "prepared for shipping" yesterday and today i got the tracking number.
Apple still says 31´st but UPS says rescheduled for 24´th, thank god i dont have to leave for work untill 22:00 :-D
mine is the MBP 2.4 2Gb 320@5400 allso danish, finally they are shipping it, strange that US have high priority and we are low priority
btw i ordered about 2½ hour after the keynote.
It's still way better than living in Sweden.Sucks to live in Denmark for this.

I ordered mine just a few minutes after the keynote on the 14th, and my estimated delivery is 31 oct - 3 nov. And it wasn't CTO, and no side-orders.So yeah, that sucks.
We ordered the identical thing, except i ordered mine 2 hours later than you and we are both going to Illinois....

messagepad, they charged me a couple hours after I placed the order on the 18th. That said, I think I remember them only charging me for my Leopard preorder last year when it was getting ready to ship. So, maybe they only charge when your computer is about to go down the production line.
Check with your credit/debit card company too, sometimes they'll block very large purchases if you traditionally only make small purchases.

I called Apple, and they told me that it wouldn't be charged until it shipped, and that they were showing no hold status from the credit card company (which did happen to me once with American Express once when I bought a couple of iPods as corporate gifts (I had to call Amex to confirm it was a genuine order, then they approved the charge for the iPods). So I called American Express so they could note on my account that a charge of around $3700.00 from Apple was coming soon, and they said that would be fine.
So now I just wait, too!
Stuck in Alaska
Looks like I'm at least the third on the same pallet that seems to be rotting in Alaska. 2.8 with the 7200 320, ordered 9:02 am 10/15 EDT. (I am amused that mine got scanned a few minutes before yours on the origin and export scan... Maybe a little lower on the pallet.)
No updates since Sunday afternoon. Oh well. Maybe it'll come Friday. I'd settle for some change in the tracking sometime soon.

wow... So I ordered the 2.53 ghz, 4gb ram, 320gb 7200 rpm drive and the mini dp to dvi connector on the day of the keynote (10/14/2008) around 6pm est. The shipping details said it was in shanghai (china) then anchorage (alaska) and today I looked, it said Indiana. I just happened to look again even though it wasn't supposed to be here until tomorow and it was already delivered! (I printed the paper so they would leave it). The only problem is I'm at work haha... All of a sudden I need to go home to play with my new computer... I mean my stomach hurts ;-)
Sorry if my sentences are all mangled together, I'm typing this on my iPhone and the box to type is small. I'm too excited and had to tell someone haha thanks for reading.

Daaam UPS they updated it to be delivered on friday and fly it via Irland, for some strange reason they went to Holland (same distance and they have more flights from there to Denmark) but that delayed it so i might not get it any earrlier than monday

Hey, same specs, same times, same lack of updates, but mine just cleared the Import scan, and is set to be delivered tomorrow. Apparently UPS sees the need to let everything sit and rot in their warehouse for 3 days and then overnight it to you from there. Brilliant UPS, Just Brilliant!
