Since this thread has expired, I don't feel bad derailing it. Have you encountered a fix for this issue when I use my MacBook Pro both standalone and in clamshell mode? The dropdown is in the middle of a 2560 screen instead of just below the "..."

Does it always appear that way? Can you move it by dragging to the right or is it stuck there no matter what? Perhaps use the Reset Bartender Bar Location option in Preferences?
