Re ram prices at least here in Australia

My extra gig of Apple's own ram which I bought through my dealer after my dual arrived (2 x 512s) actually only cost about $60 more than any-not-guaranteed-to-work-with-a-G5 third party ram I could find. Post fitted Apple ram seems a lot cheaper than built to order.

Hey!

I just got an automated shipping e-mail from Apple along with a FedEx tracking number!

Assuming that it's not just a glitch in the system (the tracking number just shows "transmitted to FedEx" at this point), that would mean:

CTO Educational DP2.0 w/9800:
Ordered 9/19, shipped 10/16.

I'd love to say "we'll see", but I'm leaving for Alaska tomorrow (now that's suck timing for you), so I may not be back untill well after the 58-pound beast arrives.

I'm still doin' the little dance.

Actually Much Better Things to Do

Yeah I've got tons of other things to do but I'm new to the Mac and I'm just trying my hand at being a little obsesive. Nothing more.

I got my G5 today and It's pretty cool. I huge! Super Huge but that works for me. Anyway I'm having a lot of fun switching from Windows Explorer to the Mac Finder...which I may add is kind of Clumbsy. But I hear Panther will solve that one. Anyway it's been fun getting to know my Mac though.

Tootles:)
