Thanks for the tip. I'm still going to pine for an LC-A though. :)

I don't know very much about film photography and I keep forgetting to bring my camera: a toy Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim. I loaded it with some generic film at first because I have no idea where to get decent film. Haven't managed a trek out to Henry's yet. I know. I suck.
Seriously, the XA series are actually much better cameras and much cheaper. There's everything you could want in there, from rangefinder to zone focus, wide angle to wide aperture. And the lenses are the ****.

When I shot a lot of film I always pushed Delta 400 a few stops for the grain. It's my favourite B&W film too...
Did you get proper results pushing Delta? I've never tried it because I hear t-grain emulsions don't push very well. If it wasn't for HP5's pushability (is that even a word? :D), I'd use Delta exclusively.

Where was this taken? I recognise it...

Its its the seafront at Portstewart, Northern Ireland taken from the top of Harbour Hill.

Have you been there before?

I would have said yes - it's exactly the same as a vivid image I have from my childhood of somewhere on a holiday, but I googled the name and I've never been...strange.

Nice photo though!

Here's some IR photos from about 15 years ago, maybe longer...

I didn't have a proper IR filter and used a dark red one instead. So there's a mixing of visible and IR light, which accounts for the softness...
