P.S.: If we get iMacs tomorrow I enjoy looking stupid!

Seconded.

Still think its rather crazy to include the iMac in WWDC if it's just a spec bump. A press release after the keynote seems more likely.

In the first 12 years of the iMac's existence, not once had its name been uttered at the WWDC. How could we guess the 13th year would be the charm?

Lets at least be honest with ourselves. When May 15 came and went, we all expected the new iMac would be unveiled at WWDC. Now, I have never aspired to 'retina' (whatever that means) so I don't give two hoots if it doesn't happen. But I do want 128GB SSD + 1Tb (min 750 GB) HDD on the base model. That, and USB3 will do me just fine.

I would have also have liked to be able to upgrade to the i7 processor on the base model also but it's not the Apple way so not expecting this

9to5mac is by now very confident that no new iMacs will be announced today ...

Like you, I build my hopes on a silent refresh shortly after the keynote ... but why didn't we hear any rumors about this happening? No inventory lists, no leaked specs .. nothing.
I can't understand why apple refreshes its whole product line but leaves the iMac (and MacMini) as it is ...

A sad day .. :(

Perhaps they want to become THE company for mobile computers and phones etc. And they consider the Mac Pro to be sufficent for all the developer work and rather see the desktop consumers use a laptop. :/

I think 9to5mac is all wrong. Very strange move by Apple to have three lines of MacBooks. Would be a first and I don't believe it till I see it. In addition, the specs they list for the MacPros are just unbelievable, they seem old.

Indeed - it seems odd that the default configuration has the same GPU as the 2010 Mac Pro.

I'm seriously worried that there will be no iMac update at the WWDC... no rumours at all...

Just checked a couple of the big UK sellers and have found totally contradictory results:

1) Comet - no warehouse stock of ANY iMac, some COMPLETELY Out of Stock. I've clicked through about 20 different Comet stores and can find a single one with a base model 21.5".

2) Currys / PC World - full warehouse and store stock of every model, everywhere.

It seems like one re-seller expects a refresh and one doesn't...

Amazon.co.uk are almost out of stock on 2 iMac models, many say that Amazon is the best indicator for a refresh, so let's keep on hoping!

Our only hope of a refresh would appear to be Cook's increased focus on security. Lets just hope Apple's been able to lock them out on the iMacs and surprises everyone. Can't imagine how they'd have been able to do that on all components though. By now something would have leaked.

What I fear is that Apple has looked at Ivy bridge and decided it doesn't really add much to the desk top offering so will run the desk top range on bi-annual refresh cycles. It's the mac pros turn this time around

I dont buy into another macbook line ontop of the models now. Also, imac reports have came out for months, all the parts are in, stock is low, bestbuy is out of 27", 400+ days, imac & discounts, and it makes sense to update a popular model. Likely sells more than mac pro

Why would a new mac pro ship old graphics card..? It wouldnt

There will be new imacs by wed.

Dont believe 9to5s rumored report, wait a few hours

Good point. As far as I am concerned, this has been the most significant input of leading indicators regarding an iMac refresh. Just to play devil's advocate though it be the benchmark for the entry level new mac pro?

Mac Pro uses server processors, does it not?

Not alwayse accurate, alwayse shows aus as online. But non the less, still a handy bookmark.

Really? When the store went down for maintenance 2 weeks ago it showed all of them as offline. Though thanks for the heads up!

Edit: Checked a few that's according to the site online, but they're offline! (Good sign :D )

UK store is down... still not 100% convinced we'll see new iMacs today :(

Have been waiting since February... not mad. Not mad at all... :D
