Is there a setting somewhere to make the top bar (signal strength, clock, battery, etc) text black by default that I'm missing? Or is that done by the app you are using to make the image?
I don't think there's a way to change that. iOS does it automatically based on the wallpaper you are using.

can't find a good screen for my silver 6 plus. I feel like everything looks good on the space gray but only a few work well on the white. I just keep reverting back to the default ios 8 wallpaper thats my favorite one so far.
Well, that's unfortunate. I can hardly read mine. Was hoping I could change it manually.
You're thinking too much. Why does it matter whether a picture looks better on a silver or black iPhone? There are lots of wallpapers out there, just choose whatever one you like and set it as your wallpaper. Don't make a big deal out of it

i cant help it lol...its not like im racking my brain about it or anything but im just a particular person and a designer so details count to me. I like to find wallpapers that make the perfect balance between the device and the software. I may just end up creating some myself.
I refuse to use the 6/6+ and iOS 8. Doesn't mean I should feel left out on sharing my home screen.
I absolutely agree and to each their own, but there are other (correct) forums to upload your iPhone 5 screenshots/home screen.

A little bit pointless on a thread dedicated to the 6 and 6 Plus though. There are threads for the iPhone 5 and its wallpapers and it's obviously more relevant.
