Could be because the Time Capsule is $100 to $300 more than the Extreme? Don't get me wrong though, I love my Time Capsule and it's worth every penny (IMO) but it is very pricey, especially for the 1 TB model.

I wouldn't say "worth every penny." They are convenient yes. But the exact same thing can be accomplished with an APExtreme + USB HD (that is easily upgraded mind you) ;)
If you've got a really cramped space and lots of $$, TC is a great option. But it's a horrible price for what you're getting IMO.

Exactly, chances are your router is tucked away out of site, why not just dongle the drive? It wasn't even a 10 sec decision for me. I will take a router (that I can hand down in the future) and an external HD on the cheap... ;) :D

Today, at my BORING BORING BORING job, I got offered a promotion and a sallary increase. Decided that's not what I want for my future, so I quited from my job and decided to pursue my dream of opening my own firm. :)

So, to celebrate (and not panic to much :) ) i just purchased this

This was going cheap on eBay, only £30 for:

-AMD Sempron 2200
-32MB VRAM
-Two 40GB HDDs
-768MB RAM
-Windows XP COA

Oddly enough the 'fault' turned out to be that the HDDs were both unplugged somewhat. So far no other problems are apparent.

I'll probably look into installing a second OS, perhaps Ubuntu, on the additional hard drive and sell it on as the best of both worlds. I suppose it would be useful for someone with only basic needs from their computer.

Apparently, my brother came home and said "Hey I got a 24" ACD and a G5 at work sitting there with your name on it, got it for free, it's all dinged up, but it works perfectly".

But he also said something along those lines 2 years ago, last year, and in October. So, I don't know whether to believe him or not. And he was smiling when he did it (Not the "Just Kidding!" smile, the "I got you something and I love your expression" smile).

So LETS HOPE he got one for me.

Realized that when I had 2000 RAW files to import, importing through the camera was going to be too slow. Works quick, looks great and the price was right.

My last few purchases:

Not the exact one, but you know, something like it
