I ran the latest update, scores will vary depending on how cool your machine is when you start the test, and how many other apps are running. You want the highest score then close all apps, let it idle for a half hour, wake and start the test after awaken for a full 2 minutes. Only if you are fixated on the highest possible score ;)

I been beat by Namara lol But for good reason, Namara model has 64GB ram vs my 16 and a little faster SSD 1tb vs 512GB.

What's interesting (or not) is running the test 2 minutes earlier (on a cold newly booted for the day machine) resulted in 1162/5738.

Here is my compute score using a Vega 56, I have been a little higher in the past but this is a good score.

Nice score are you running a EGPU? so the extra ram and higher SSD improves the score this much??
Thanks. I'm not running an eGPU. I guess the extra specs make that much of a difference, but as IngerMan mentioned, when you run the report makes a difference too. It's actually the first time I've run GeekBench on this since getting it in January. I'll say this about maxing out the specs is that you don't wonder if you made the right choice except for perhaps overbuying.

I hope someone with the 2TB will post their results too so we can compare.

yes i would love to see someone with I7 64gb ram 2tb SSD scores and then scores with an EGPU. To see its worth upgrading.

Running mine just out of sittin in the fridge for an hour ... hello 7000 multi core score! :D

Just got this slight bump, and I've been doing light tasks for a couple of hours:

I'll keep running tests over the next couple of days and see if after 5 unique results, the Geekbench browser will post something higher than the current 5639:

So can we get any confirmation More RAM 64gb and Bigger faster SSD improves geekbench scores?

Yes the 256, 512, 1TB go up read write speeds in size. This was confirmed and documented on this forum back in early 2019. I think my 512 is 1900 writes and 2600 reads.

I have personally seen scores increase on Ram upgrades on an 2015 iMac, 8 to 16 showed decent jump, 16 to 32 was vey small jump using Geekbench, I don’t think you would see a score increase past 32gb because the test probably does not utilize all of it.

you can search on Geekbench browser Mac mini 2018 i7 etc and review scores with ram

That seems legit, scores will vary on your own machine.

as far as SSD size, I looked up some older threads, 128GB was 600 writes, 256GB was 1300 writes, 512GB was 1900 writes, I think 1TB was 2100-2300 writes? They are all in the 2k reads.

As far as ram and testing it’s diminishing returns after 32GB. Real world usage can be much different but if you need 64GB of ram than you Must be making some serious coin with your setup.
