It's the ErgoDox EZ can be found at https://ergodox-ez.com - it's fully programmable has upto 32 layers for different layouts as well.

For me, I had a full blown shoulder reconstruction and suffered with some chronic pain after that if I was working at the computer for too long - it has definitely helped with the pain and I'd fully reccomend it. Be warned, it is pricey though and there are DIY kits available for a fraction of the price, if you have the time and interest.

Thanks for that. Will keep looking as with import duty to the U.K. it would be nearly $450! love her be she ain’t worth that 😜

They're expensive, but Grovemade makes some nice looking desk accessory systems.

I would love some recommendations for monitor riser as I'm looking to upgrade mine too something that suits the look of the setup a bit more.

Amazon has a nice collection of plate glass monitor risers... relatively inexpensive, and many size options.

Both of these set ups approx 12 years apart. Top pic is a self built PC, dual core, striker extreme motherboard, 2008 imac, HP Mediasmart Server, 2 x Netgear SC101.

bottom pic 2009, 2013 and 2017 iMacs. Not a windows machine in sight thanks to Parallels.

Yeah I've seen these before, they are really nice looking products aren't they! Might have to really look into them.

Thanks will take a look at those. These are the Logitech z2300 but they are like 11 years old now, but fantastic quality!

Just upgraded my working-from-home-workplace with a new monitor, the Dell Ultrasharp U2719DC. Prepared for the future, as a USB-C hub is included, though for now I still use my 2014 Macbook Pro, so i'm using Displayport, Magsafe and USB separately.

Routed my cables underneath the table, with Ikea sticky clips and velcro strips I cut to fit.

This is a QHD model I believe. Great monitor for the price but probably not as good as what you have now.
 
Yeah indeed, the u2719dc is a 1440 monitor, so QHD and not 4K. However, Dell also offers a 4K 27" monitor. Things to consider are:
  • Very thin bezels for a 27" monitor. This I especially like: the bottom bezel is just as thin as the top and side bezels. This can only be achieved by using a different type of panel (i believe this monitor has an LG-panel inside), which is why the Dell monitors are quite expensive. I mean, years ago a 27" QHD monitor was available for less money than this has cost me. But that has to do with the design.
  • The USB hub can power external devices up to 65 watts
  • While I can't test it with my 2014 Macbook Pro, the included USB-C cable is all you need to charge your Macbook, connect the display and the USB-ports provided. So that's great.
  • You can adjust the very good stand easily. The stand feels great, looks great and is not flimsy, but quite thin actually! Adjusting height and horizontal and vertical angles goes without a hassle. Love the stand and its quality.
  • I don't need it, but you can adjust the screen from landscape to portrait.
  • As an IPS Ultrasharp monitor, the colours are great, but blacks are not the best. Especially noticable in a dark room.
  • In a dark room you can also notice some clouding.
  • However, in my quite light room, i don't have these issues, i hardly use my monitor in a dark room.
  • The monitor is "only" 60 hz. Of course, this is more than enough for your normal work. However, if you want a monitor to game on, you'll probably want to look for a 144 hz or something monitor.
All in all: i love that the color settings and calibration is extremely well done, as that is what i need for my job and private interests (digital design, urban design, photos). You can bet the better and more expensive Dell 4k monitors will provide you with these and better aspects.

However, i must note the following: on a 27" with QHD you need no scaling, which means more workspace. On a 27" with 4K, you do need scaling. But I must agree, a 4K monitor is probably better than a QHD monitor.

Haha, good question! My appartment has some weird corners in it. The rug is lined up with the floor and the walls on the left, while the table is lined up with the opposite wall and the lights.
The rug is mostly here for my working-from-home situation, so it's mostly there for the chair (with wheels). If I line it up with the table, the chair can roll of the rug, which is why i've lined it up with the wall on the left.

EDIT: i've changed it, but somehow this doesn't sit right with me, the fact that it doesn't line up with the floor and the wall bothers me. For now i'll leave it like this, but I'll see this weekend if i can adjust to this 😅

Looks much better but now I can see why you had it slanted in the first place.
