Hey there, I'm asking this because I'm curious (well partly because I think Macs deserve this.)
Is there an app or a way to make your Facebook statuses say "via Macbook Pro" just like Facebook does with iPads and iPhones?
I know it's a pretty random question but I would really like to know! Thanks in advance :)
 
honestly i'm surprised it doesn't already. it already does it for so many different devices.

Haha I agree that this would fuel the PC vs Mac wars more but I'm just saying, if someone were to pay $1000+ for a laptop I think they deserve a little recognition. Besides it would look EPIC! Amirite?

Seems pretentious to me, but if you want to make your signature/identity equivalent to your consumer purchases, I'm sure you'll find a way.
 
For some folks like me this is a reminder to the family and friends that we/I don't think quite like them..Though both sets of people know this already it's just kind of a reminder..I'd probably use it, after all it throws the android out there every time I post from my phone. I ought to get my virtual boxes to do the same thing "posted via Suse, Fedora, Ubuntu, Mint (debian), BSD"
 
I'm sure there's a workaround for this, but ordinarily Facebook doesn't know your computer's manufacturer. Maybe it could know your browser, but I think that's about it.

I also agree with whoever said that this is why people hate Mac users :p
 
i fully encourage this behaviour, mostly because i take a special kind of joy in watching society go down the crapper :)

no, it'll look like a jackass posted it; and if it's such a big deal to buy whatever laptop, you probably should reevaluate your purchase...

^^This. $1k on a laptop isn't that big of a deal. If you spent $4k, it still wouldn't be that big of a deal.
 
Don't use Facebook, get Twitter and download the Twitter application in the Mac App Store. All your tweets will say "via Twitter for Mac.
 
No one on Facebook cares what you post your statuses from. I'd be hacked if it did that, because I think it would make me look like a tool.
