Hello, (relativly long post)
Just recently (few days) my 20 months old Macbook and it's 6 month old battery have been acting strangley.
I have been getting only around 1hr 15mins out of a full charge ...
I though this very strange as was getting a good 3 hours normally and my activity on the computer had remained the same - just internet, music etc.
I'm after opening activity monitor and I see an application taking up what was measured at at constant - between 98% and 102% of CPU?? This application was Safari (Safari was actually idling at the time) but I looked closer and there was two Safari processes running - one using the above percent and one using 0%. So I naturally closed the 100% one expecting safari to close - but it did not - it carried on working and then turned out to be the second 0% one.
My battery seemed to shoot up but was very low (10%), so I am not sure - I have just started the calibration process to see if that helps.

My point is could I have had 'first' Mac virus or something??
I do not recall downloading anything percuilar, but this process was posing as Safari and using all the CPU (but the computer did not seem slow at all - just the battery was affected) WEIRD??

Has anyone else had a similar experience???

Look forward to discussion.
Thomas
