I had my iphone 4 activated in-store because the OS on my old macbook was not compatible with the phone. Since then I have taken pictures, videos etc... and ALSO jailbroken the phone. Now that I have a new computer I want to plug in the phone and transfer the photos and videos off of it.

Since the phone has been jailbroken and no back up has been made, am I at risk for losing any data upon plugging in the phone to my new computer? I understand that anythings possible if something weird happens, but under normal conditions should I be ok?

No your not at risk of losing anything. Plug it up and transfer your picture's and video's then backup the device.
