I don't know if this is an actual virus or not but yesterday my friend im'd me a link on aol. Then im'd me like 5 seconds later to tell me not to go it. He said it was a virus and that it was sending this link to everybody on his buddy list. Anybody here anything about this?

My thoughts are that it's either just a joke to get you to click on something and have a disgusting page load up or if it is a virus (which I don't believe) it would most likely only effect PC's. I did read that there is a relatively simple peice of HTML code (only 3 lines long and totally innocent) that causes the latest Internet Explorer on the PC to crash - Perhaps it is something like that.

It was a virus that was basically just a bad piece of html or something that could start up Outlook Express and then load some virus crap on your machine, but of course you and your Apple don't have to worry about such a thing. That virus is kinda of old, that person really needs to update their virus software.
