This is a potentially dumb question, and if so I apologise and may God have mercy on my soul, but...........

The screen is described as 16.2inch. And we all know it's 16:10 ratio.

BUT, does the notch (and extra bezel above it) mean that when you watch 16:9 content (e.g. TV shows/YouTube) in full-screen, the actual image is going to really be the same size (or even a little SMALLER) as on the old 16inch, so that the notch doesn't cut into the image?

Or, is the notch small enough that a 16:9 image doesn't get close enough to it anyway on these 16:10 screens.

The screen is actually 16:10 *below* the notch, so 16:9 images are not at all affected by the notch.

Best to think of the notch as an additional row above the main display, rather than eating into it.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ok.

So the .2inch is really referring to that 'additional row' as you call it. So when one watches a 16:9 tv show for instance, the viewable image will be no smaller than the normal 16?
