Hi

I have a Trust Urban 20000mAh power bank and although I know that it will not be enough to charge my Mac, I was wondering if it is possible (and safe for the Mac) to use it to power it via one of the USB-C ports …

if you are thinking of using the Mac to charge the power bank, then yes that will work just very slowly and it will deplete your battery only your Mac quickly. if you are looking to power your Mac then while technically that would work. it has a max of 12 watts per USB port and that wouldn't charge your Mac unless it was asleep and even then it would be a very long time to charge. you're better off buying power delivery power bank. I use the Anker PowerCore+ 26000 PD and its lovely. its a little expensive ( I got it on a BF special) but its really nice and can charge my TB MBP almost twice per charge. and it has 2 extra 12 watt USB ports for other devices.
