Power Book G4 Stuck

i'm currently getting this problem

I got this mac powerbook g4 from my friend after he said he messed up the mac by deleting random files. I've tried reinstalling the os and when i just get to the blue screen it freezes with an unresponsive cursor.

Any thoughts?

-what osx disks are you trying to restore with?
-have you tryed reseating ram?

trying to install with Tiger and yes i have reseted the ram

tiger grey disks that came with powerbook? retail?

i ask because your not trying to install with grey tiger disks from another ppc are you?

looks like you use Grey Tiger disc's definitely and those are model specific and will only work on the exact model they had been made for
