Hey guys,

A few days ago we had a "brown out" (a lull in power), well we actually had two.. and the PC decided to die for a few days. Then it came back on for some miraculous reason! Anyway, we are still going to get it checked out by the insurance agency (an external HD case got blown, so we may as well get it checked).

I need help ensuring that my backup plan is going to succeed, because once they take the computer there is no guarantee of getting any data back.

I have two drives in the computer:

Drive 1:
• 500GB Seagate
• 436.5GB Windows partition
• 30GB OSX partition
• Sata connection

Drive 2:
• 40GB IBM (old i know)
• Mac Os X

Because my external dual FW HD has died (1x1TB, 1x500GB), I can only copy onto an external USB 1TB HD.

I am currently saving the Windows partition using "WinClone", it is the latest version. (It will take a while, it has only read 6% after an hour nearly.)

After this backup finishes I will backup the 30GB OSX partition on HD #1 booting from Drive 2.

Anyways my question:

Will I be able to restore both disk images to their original state after I have gotten my computer back (if it is damaged)??

Of course, I have back-ups of the files, but getting the Hackintosh/XP dual boot thing took me ages to get set up and it is just a pain in the ass to do. I don't have another legit copy of XP either, so that doesnt help.

Thanks in advance..
