As of last week my power button stopped working. I don't like the accessibility feature for locking the phone because that dot has to constantly be moved around because it's always in the way. Is there a tweak, JB or not, that will allow me to lock the phone screen?

I'm looking for the same thing. My power button works but is difficult to activate. The button started acting weird a few days ago. Since its out of warranty I was told it's $150 or live with it. I'll just put that money towards the next version since there's no way I'm spending that amount over one button.

Use activator.
There's tons of option to pick a way you want in order to lock the screen.
Gestures, button combinations you name it.

Thanks! I know of activator but I didn't think to use it for this.

Easy: set up a hit corner to lock the screen. When you step away, just swipe.

UPDATE: ach, now I see it's a phone not a Mac. Can I plead jet lag?

Totally forgot about Activator. It was one of those I had, but never used. Works great for my purposes (though it's a little buggy). Now I can hold out for the 5 more easily. Thanks!
